Check Ride Old

The check ride is the second stage to obtaining the Victorian Motorcycle Licence.

This course is of 3.5 hours duration with up to 5 students and consists of an on range and on road component. Students should be comfortable and confident on their motorcycles before attending a check ride.

During the on range component students will receive tuition on emergency braking, slow riding, corner lines and overall bike control.

The on road component covers an approximately 50km loop where students will have the opportunity to ride in front of an instructor and receive feedback on their riding.

The 5 main accident types for novice riders will be discussed with tips on how to reduce the risk of these occurring. The licence assessment criteria will also be discussed.

Once a student has successfully completed a check ride they need to wait 1 calendar month before undertaking their licence assessment.
