this month only!

Welcome to Baylink Motorcycle Training Centre's OVERSEAS MOTORCYCLE LICENCE CONVERSION Course on the Mornington Peninsula

Contact VicRoads: Your initial step involves reaching out to VicRoads to determine if your current motorcycle licence is issued by a recognised country. If your licence is indeed from a recognized country, further training won’t be necessary. VicRoads will help arrange the conversion for you.

License Verification:
In case your motorcycle licence is not from a recognised country, you’ll need to visit a VicRoads office for verification of your motorcycle licence and riding experience. After successful verification, VicRoads will annotate your file, confirming that your licence can be converted to a Victorian motorcycle licence.

Additional Requirements:
If you don’t possess a Victorian car licence, there are additional prerequisites:

a. VicRoads Customer Number: You must obtain a VicRoads Customer Number.

b. Pass Tests: Successfully pass the Motor Car Learner Permit Test and the Hazard Perception Test.

What training is involved?

After verifying all necessary details with VicRoads, the next step is to successfully complete the 2-day motorcycle learner course.

Upon successfully finishing the 2-day Learner Course, you will proceed to the license assessment. Once you successfully pass this assessment, Baylink will grant you a Victorian Motorcycle Licence.

The license assessment typically lasts around 1 hour and occurs at the conclusion of day 2 during the 2-Day Learner Course. This eliminates the need for a separate visit to Baylink for the license assessment at a later date, ensuring a streamlined process.

What do I need to bring?

If you hold a current Victorian car licence showing your current Victorian address this is sufficient identification. You will also need your overseas licence.

If you do not hold a Victorian car licence you will need the following.

  1. Proof of Victorian residence which can be a bank statement or utilities bill in your name showing your current Victorian address.
  2. Passport confirming your identity.
  3. VicRoads Customer Number.
  4. Overseas motorcycle licence.
  5. Proof you have successfully completed the motor car Learner Test and Hazard Perception Test.
