The following Terms and Conditions apply to all customers and students of Baylink Motorcycle Training Centre:
1. VicRoads Eligibility requirements
Ensure that you meet all the eligibility criteria below for the VicRoads accredited course you are booking.
If you book and pay for a course without meeting the below criteria, you will not be permitted to participate in the course on the day and no refund can be issued.
Learner Permit Assessment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be a Victorian resident
- Must not be disqualified from holding or getting a Victorian learner permit
- Must not be subject to a Fines Victoria sanction
- Must be medically fit to ride. If you have a medical condition or take prescribed medication which may affect your ability to ride a motorcycle you’ll need to provide the relevant medical reports to VicRoads before you book your assessment.
- Must hold a current valid Victorian car learner permit or licence or have passed the VicRoads knowledge Test 2 (Road Rule Test)
Check Ride
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be a Victorian resident
- Must not be disqualified from holding or getting a Victorian learner permit
- Must not be subject to a Fines Victoria sanction
- Must be medically fit to ride. If you have a medical condition or take prescribed medication which may affect your ability to ride a motorcycle you’ll need to provide the relevant medical reports to VicRoads before you book your assessment.
- Must hold a valid Motorcycle Learner Permit
Licence Assessment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be a Victorian resident
- Must not be subject to a Fines Victoria licence sanction, and
- Must be medically fit to ride. If you’ve got a medical condition or take prescribed medication which may affect your fitness to ride, you’ll need to provide the relevant medical reports to VicRoads before you book your assessment.
- Must have successfully completed a Check Ride not less than one month before the Licence Assessment
- Must have an Australian motorcycle learner permit for a continuous period of at least three months before you apply or have held a motorcycle licence or hold, or have previously held an overseas motorcycle licence
- Must hold a current valid Victorian car licence or have passed the VicRoads Hazard Perception Test.
2. Payment
Payment is made at time of booking the course, in full.
3. Cancellation
Should you need to cancel your course booking call our office on 03 5979 1600.
No refund is issued if cancellation is made with less than 7 days’ notice.
4. Refunds
The only circumstances in which refunds will be issued are:
- Where cancellation is made by you with more than 7 days’ notice
- Baylink cancels the course for any reason
5. Illness
Please forward a doctor’s medical certificate to bookings@baylinkmc.com.au
if you were unable to attend a course you had booked due to illness. We will reschedule you to another course date pending receipt of the medical certificate.
6. Late Arrival
Course participants must arrive on time so as to be present for the Safety Briefing at the commencement of the course, if you arrive late, you will not be permitted to commence the Motorcycle Learner Permit or the Check Ride course and no refund will be issued. It is a VicRoads requirement that you are present for the Safety Briefing.
7. Baylink Motorcycle hire and use
Where you elect to use a Baylink Motorcycle, Baylink reserves the right to nominate you as the driver where a penalty notice has been received by us and is as a result of your use of the motorcycle at the time of the offence.
8. Rescheduling a booked course
If you reschedule a course with less than 5 days’ notice from the date of the already booked course, there will be a rescheduling fee equivalent to 25% of the value of the booked course. Any rescheduling with more than 5 days’ notice of the already booked course date incurs no rescheduling fee.
9. Weather
We will not cancel a course due to inclement weather. Regardless of weather conditions on the day, courses will proceed.
